What exactly is the customer portal?

Every customer gets their own branded portal area (URL slug per customer). Login is magic-link plus a 6-digit email PIN — no separate app, no extra password. Inside they see their agreements, quotes, project progress, signed service reports, maintenance proposals to confirm, and they can reply inline to any message you send. You manage everything from the MSPercury workspace.

How do status updates and maintenance windows work?

Status updates are short project notes with a category (Ordered / Delivered / Scheduled / In progress / Waiting / Done). Click, type, send — the customer instantly gets an email in their language and sees the entry in their portal timeline. Maintenance windows are planned slots with start/end times: you propose, the customer accepts in the portal or counter-proposes with a reason. Service interruptions are flagged with a visible warning.

Where is my data stored?

All data is hosted in the EU on Hetzner in Germany. GDPR-compliant, Data Processing Agreement (DPA) available on request, no third-country data transfer. Self-hosted Geist font, no analytics or third-party trackers.

Does MSPercury have AI features?

Yes — bring your own Anthropic or OpenAI API key. The IT Assessment report can auto-generate a one-paragraph executive summary in the customer's language. The key is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and is strictly tenant-isolated; no key is ever shared across workspaces.

How does the GDPR consent feature work?

Pick a template (DSGVO consent, photo consent, marketing consent), or write your own in markdown. Send it from the customer record with one click — the customer receives an email with a sign link, types their name, and electronically signs. The signed PDF is stored in the portal and emailed back to the customer for their records. Captured metadata: typed name, IP address, timestamp (eIDAS-grade evidentiary trail).

Can I use MSPercury offline or on my phone?

The browser app is a Progressive Web App and the iOS app is a native Capacitor wrapper of the same site. The IT Assessment wizard auto-saves every keystroke so an interrupted Wi-Fi connection or a phone-locked screen never costs you progress.
